Welcome to E-Mediat

The E-Mediat: Tools Technology and Training program is a dynamic public-private partnership providing cutting-edge new media training to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

By giving NGOs and CSOs the capacity and skills to use social media to more effectively advance their missions, the E-Mediat program is helping over 220 organizations across Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia to blog, tweet, upload photos and videos and creatively connect with their counterparts around the region. In addition to teaching organizations how to use social media tools to increase their impact, organizations learn the steps and frameworks for creating a social media strategic plan that supports their mission objectives and communication goals.

From advancing women’s rights to developing the next generation of leaders, to raising awareness about the environment, organizations participating in the E-Mediat program are using this new, cutting edge technology to raise awareness about crucial societal issues, build dynamic networks, connect with potential funders and contribute to more pluralistic and participatory communities throughout the region.
