Introduction
The E-mediat program in Morocco aims to increase NGO knowledge and skills to use new media effectively and to promote their access to these new communication channels to enable them to advance their unique missions and strengthen their organizations.In total, 60 NGO representatives from urban and rural areas from L’Oriental and Middle Atlas regions will benefit from E-Mediat training sessions.
Team Bios
Widad El Hanafi | Country Director, Morocco | @woodalisa
Widad worked as the country program manager for the Women In Technology (WIT) in Morocco since February 2008. She was responsible for managing the program activities, budgets, partnerships, and media and public relations. Widad has extensive experience in designing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for program and organizations.
In 2003, Widad received her Master’s Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from Al Akhawayn University of Ifrane and then pursued an one month Executive MBA program from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, United States. Widad has been an active speaker at several conferences and seminars focussing on women’s empowerment. She also participated in the Observation Mission organized by NDI-West bank/Gaza on Election Monitoring-Palestinian Local Elections in May, 2005.
El Mehdi Zeroual | Training Coordinator, Morocco | @El_Zeroual
El Mehdi received his Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Communications from Akhawayn University of Ifrane in December 2009. He interned at the GENIE Department in The Ministry of National Education, Rabat, where he created a communication plan for Program GENIE to generalize the use of ICT in all public schools and assisted in the organization of training sessions for instructors.
Before joining E-Mediat program, El Mehdi worked as program assistant at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs in Rabat. At the NDI, he assisted in the organization of workshops and seminars and contributed to the political section of the quarterly report.
Nour Eddine Achemlal | Strategic Advisor, Morocco | @eddnour
Nour Eddine earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Mohamed V in Rabat in 1999. After several years working for companies in the field of education and IT, he joined the social sector and earned a degree in management of development projects. Since 2007, he has been with Tanmia as an ICT Project Manager to develop tools based on ICT, training modules and e-learning materials to benefit Moroccan associations. He has forged partnerships with several national and international organizations such as Microsoft, UNESCO and other organizations. Currently, Nour Eddine is responsible for a training program in e-advocacy with USAID.

Association for Human Resource Managers and Trainers (AGEF), Oujda
AGEF Oriental’s mission is to support the development and management of human resources. They work with local NGOs to build their capacity in education and training, entrepreneurship, community development and youth programs.
Association of Youth without Borders (AJSF), Meknes
AJSF works to promote a stronger community by providing training and resources to women and youth. They also host the E-Mediat training in their lab in Meknes.
